"Very few have ventured into Crann Mor, the giant, hollowed out tree in the forest, and none of those have done very thorough investigating, so other than knowing that it has some sort of peculiar interior and is likely the home of various unpleasant things, we have no information. Thus the elders are calling out to the mages of the Hollow to assemble a party to investigate this tree and learn its secrets. Our home needs to expand and ensure its safety if we are to house all the mages who need our help, and in order to do so, it is essential that we understand as much about this forest as possible. Of course, the investigation is likely to be dangerous, so we advise those who sign up to be prepared for the worst. Best of luck!"
The purpose of this event is for the characters participating to explore Crann Mor, the great tree. By posting in the event and responding well to the Admin's prompts and challenges, your characters will be rewarded with sweet loot and prestige. Furthermore, any who are present for the event's End Challenge (I guess that's a thing now...) will obtain an item of great power that will add to their capabilities.
The way the event will work is that starting at Midnight May 15 East Coast Time (that's when the 14th becomes the 15th), the event will open in the Crann Mor subboard. For those kind enough to note their desire to participate on this thread, a link to the event will be posted here as soon as it begins. From there, the participants are free to post to respond to each other as well as the admins updates and challenges. Updates will happen at least once a day, so your characters will always have something to do. You do not need to post here or join the event on day one to participate. If your character comes late, just have your first post describing him/her arriving at the tree and pick up from what the others are doing. However, no more characters will be able to join once the End Challenge begins at Midnight May 26 East Coast Time. The event will then end once the End Challenge is resolved. If the End Challenge is not resolved by Midnight May 30 East Coast Time, the event will end anyway, and I will be sad that no one wanted to do my End Challenge.
