Be careful making wishes in the dark. The creature's nose twitched carefully, as he crept closer; if he would not be challenged, then he would simply leap off of the crates entirely, to roll in the dust and scratch a few itches before offering the human a shrill bark and leaving the rather dull egg.
Meanwhile, Theo found his thoughts interrupted when he became aware of a ticking noise that was not his own. The magician lowered his head, and he heard the sound again easily enough. Not a mouse, obviously, by its deep timbre and his choice of rationalization. Well, he'd made a rock squeak once when he accidently-completely-on-purpose bound the rodent's soul to it.
Nevertheless, he wasn't about to make the same mistake again and that experience attributed to the fact that this was most definitely not a squeak. Actually it was more of a purr...humming from beneath the earth and as he scooped soil and plant alike aside he seemed to uncover something else entirely.
"What in the seven hells?"

Be careful making wishes in the dark. Theo tucked the question of what exactly the thing was back into his mind as he approached his answer, his hands coming to rest by his sides. The garden yawned openly around them, the short swathes of grass along either side of the path rustling gently in a breeze; yet it was very quiet, when the mage came to a stop a few feet away the rock wall ensconcing the garden as he expressly gawked at one of the stones cinched tight into the wall.
It had a sheen unlike any sediment he'd seen and his conclusion was this must have been another egg...but prying it from said precipice would be a sheer feat of ingenuity as several thousand tugs later ended in nothing but sore arms and the thing still wedge into the rock face.
Explosions...were always the answer. The mage mused to himself, "I could unblock that if I had, like, two-hundred of these." He fisted his pockets and came up with a glowering orb that had flames licking up its sides. "Problem is, I only have, like, ten, plus three of my own, a couple of cherry bombs saplings, a flare.."
He listened dutifully while veering to the side, and the sound of tearing and collapsing stone, overlaid by an explosion, made him wince and turn his attention elsewhere. "Er, I got this under control."
Thing was had the egg come loose after that chain reaction of concussive force?

Naofa Gardens. One of the few places that Eldak actually visited in Dorcha Hollow. Now though, the elf did not visit the tranquil gardens for the sake of enjoying the peace as he normally did, but instead to search for those pretty, colourful eggs he had found at Loch Dorcha, his previous location. Ah, where to start?
On his journey here, the elf had heard word of these eggs simply...laying around. He had no idea why, but Eldak was determined to find them. I mean, colourful eggs with a chance of sparkly? Always keen for treasure, the elf kept a keen eye out for any hidden eggs.
A gloved hand brushed against the smooth, unmarked stone of a totem, before he jumped back, skin prickling at the large magical presence. Nope, nothing there. He couldn't use his spirit element right now, he'd probably get a headache around the totems. Ugh, the gods were troublesome beings indeed.
He ran a hand through a mess of blond hair, revealing pointed ears and the faint beginnings of a scar from below it. Where exactly was that egg? It didn't take long for the gods to answer that question. As per last time, an egg came hurtling towards him, but this time carried by a furious bird. Needless to say, Eldak gave a startled squawk, before tumbling backwards, the egg landing softly on his chest. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

Even the Stars are Fleeting At night they come without being fetched, And by day they are lost without being stolen. She fumbled a moment, moving between pockets while the dust settled, wondering if she'd have to leave and come back for more eggs. She paused, her body following in suit in the mental gap at the idea. More eggs? She shrugged. Why not? Rationalizing, she assumed the whole turmoil of this odd, odd adventure would help her potions-making, and with this plain bird's egg in hand, she could do some experimenting.
Sighing, she pressed the egg into her pocket of herbs, drew her bow from around her and undid the string, strapping the bow back into her quiver--momentarily feeling for an egg again and finding nothing--and stuffing the string into a pouch; the walking stick would do just as well for now.
About to stand and move on, careful to not attract the attention of the birds, she halted, hearing the signature rolling of an egg upon stone. She glanced around the stalks of grass, flowers, and at the stone graves in their bondage of earth. Only until the sound seemed right under her, did she move her leg and gaze underneathe. There, under the comfortable shade of her leg ran a dung-beetle. Unbothered, she smiled at the good sir."Salutation, Mr. Le Pew. How do you do?"She let the bug continue to speed backwards, but then noticed its trunkage, peddling upon an egg. "Odd." Remorseless, she bent down and picked up the brown wad--some of the mud (she hoped) layered thinly enough to see the texture of an egg underneath. Dirty as it was, she refused to believe she had found a brown egg, and spat upon it to rub off the 'dirt'.

Even the Stars are Fleeting At night they come without being fetched, And by day they are lost without being stolen.
She stood, dusted herself off and moved elsewhere. As she rubbed off the 'dirt' from the egg, she saw the blue spark underneathe, and marveled at it a moment. She had several different colored eggs--no doubles. She held onto her blue egg, not completely sure where to put it... until her ear itched, and she placed it carefully, and a hand of walking stick and and ear of blue.
As she moved through the clearing, the dirt beginning to turn into a pathway, she subconsciously followed the way until she noticed a very purposeful system to the location of plants. A garden? And at that moment she wondered what the difference was between a flower garden and a ... garden garden--for lack of a better word. She wandered along, head to her feet as she puzzled and puzzled, until her puzzler was sore. She looked up once the path turned, and decided that she would not turn unless what was in front of her was uninteresting.
Looking at the plant, gazing at its scratchy leaves and some of it's fallen flowers, she looked at its purple produce and giggled, stepping back slightly in mild fear. "Greetings Eggplant. A pity that no one has marauded you during this strange time." Elijah bent close, taking up one of the more rotten produce and twisting it from its stem. It's flesh wrinkled as she held her, the imprint of her hand already evident in the eggplant.
As she examined it, she noticed an incision on one of the sides, there it had initially begun to rot. Already with the gunk of algae, 'dirt', and rotten plant in her hand, she stood up and began to leave the Garden while she burrowed her hand into the incision, for these days were the days of 'off chances'. Her fingers graced a familiar surface, so she took a bite, spat out the milky texture, and looked inside. "For a rotten egg, you sure don't taste that bad," she teased, half-kidding. She moved aside the rot to get a look at the color.

Evil was near, the end was nigh, and truthfully Aurelian was quite frightened. What was the cause of this calamity? He had to ponder the question for moments on end. Until he realised something; putting two thoughts together to give a reasonable answer. The gods have just not returned for the fun of it, a sinister wickedness has seeped through the cracks of the divinity and reached the realm, thus they have come to purify the land once more. While the thought was a bit hopeful in terms of having the divines back, it made sense in theory—according to Aurel’s mind anyway that was.
He had to head back to his home and gather his things, knowing it was his duty to notify the others within the forest of what he had experienced. Even if they didn’t believe him, surely someone would. If one person was convinced, Aurel knew he could later convince them all. Thus the short journey back to his little hut begun, racing through the various field, jumping over stone and egg alike as he scrambled like a deer being chased by the mighty lion. Each step was followed by short pant, sweat started to build up on the temple of his forehead as he ran and ran, like the wind it would seem like he could never stop. He approached the main entrance to the garden and with a leap and a skid, dust kicked up creating a thick blanket that covered him. His figure emerging out as he begun, as he took a quickly paced walk now instead: akin to power-walking if you were to imagine it.

Oooh, this was a pretty colour indeed! The egg seemed to be almost...pulsing. Shrugging, the elf slipped the egg into his pocket, where all the other eggs he had collected remained. So now, he had a total of seven eggs. Not bad. Not bad at all.
The elf sprang back up onto his feet, using the totem for support and sending a silent apology to the gods above for doing so. Either way though, that was a pretty darn good totem. Very nice stone. Mhm.
Now. To find another egg. The elf continued on his way, strolling around the stones, keen eyes on the ground in case he happened to step on any innocent egg. That would not be good. Uh-uh. So of course, his luck this day meant that any form of message had to come in the form of an animal.
There was a shrill screech and something clawed its way up the back of his shirt, causing the blond to yelp and spin around, trying to locate the culprit. Said culprit turned out to be a grey squirrel, who promptly flicked its bushy tail in his face and ran off. Momentarily blinded, the elf clawed at the air, only to have his hand close around a smooth round object. An egg, perhaps? CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE

When he opened his eyes again, the squirrel had gone, leaving him with another red egg in hand. Ah, red. Yup, a nice colour. It wasn't the first time the thought had crossed his mind. Quickly, the elf regained his composure, straightening his back and glancing around to see if anyone had seen the squirrel attack.
Strangely, no one did. Instead, they all seemed to be leaving! Momentarily, the elf panicked as people just walked off, before his own legs carried him off. Off where? The blond himself was rather confused as his legs carried him off, following a familiar set of footprints - his own. Back to the lake? The elf didn't argue, he simply continued moving. Eldak loved the water after all, revisiting the lake seemed like a brilliant idea.
Just before he exited the circle of trees, he felt his foot nudge against a hard object. The elf didn't think as he stooped down to retrieve said object, only blinking as he realised it was yet another egg. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GANGNAM STYLE
