Judge of the Dead Too damn old January first | female who the hell knows Odd Job Taker | |
Elysia |
★ APPEARANCE
How to describe her? Well, the first thing you will see when they meet Elysia is not her face, but rather her chest. Well endowed in that area, she'll force your face to look up. Then, her looks will be appropriately looked over. Elysia's hair is light in color, a silvery-white. It consists of bangs with rather long hair. However, she personally keeps it up in a circled braid. Hmm, but her eye color, it's rather peculiar. Sometimes it is a soft green, other times a yellow, and hell, she's had red before. Unlike other people, she finds no problem with it. Skin rather pale and a figure *ahem* not to be ashamed of. Her height is rather normal - being at 5'7"
Yet what does she wear? If it were up to her, she would go without clothing. Sadly, these humans do not appreciate people that go off in the nude. Elysia chooses clothing that is skimpier than most - partially because she feels like she is a walking heat box. (You would think someone of her race could regulate her body temperature.) But sometimes, her body temps take a nose dive and you may find her bundled up with not a piece of skin showing. Because of certain markings on her arm and leg, she tends to keep them bandaged up.
Race:
What is unusual about Elysia's race is that her race supersedes any type: the 'celestial' beings or in simpler words, the race of the gods. Those that come from this 'race' have the ability to change their appearances like the races below. Yet what sets the gods apart from the general populous of the world? The gods themselves have a soft glow, its color dependent of the alignment. Those more lawful, a light blue. Those more chaotic, a reddish hue. For Elysia, her alignment was destined to be neutral in which the glow is a soft golden color.
★ PERSONALITY
In the words of the almighty, she says "go poo on yourself for you are a turd." But in simpler terms, here's what she'll write for key points. Elysia can get a bit lazy:

Light surrounding a barren wasteland. Eyes barely able to open. A male stood in front of her. Born fully grown, but understanding nothing, the female waked towards the silhouette – tripping over her feet and falling to the ground. To understand walking, she had to crawl first, to get used to her muscles. From above, the male started to laugh at her with a female joining in. Her eyesight blurry, she stuck out her hand, falling to the ground – not knowing what to do. The softer of the two, presumably the woman, took her hand, helping her up, talking to her normally, praising her for doing so good.
“Just trust me and come this way,” The female's voice cooed to her as the male supported her from the back. Finally, Elysia could see color, not just shadows. To her left, there was a soft brown, in front of her, the woman's hair, a soft yellow. Her feel barely could keep up with the speed of the one in front of her, but she was forced to learn quickly or else be abandoned. No one else was here – it was too quiet for any other to be here.
The hard ground underneath her soon turned to the cool feeling of water rushing under her. As the world around her became clear, Elysia examined the two that had brought her to a strange, peculiar place. The woman had blonde hair, an aged look, while the man looked much younger with a scornful look on his face. The two took their leave away from her in order to start the ritual. “It'll only take a second,” the male said. Unable to speak, she feared what was happening around her. The woman could say nothing as other joined. Elysia's mind started to comprehend the position she was in. Hands covered her nude body.
A bright light forming underneath her, the young newborn's eyes widened in fear. A rush of water swirled around her until the elder-looking woman joined her back in the waters. Her role amongst the gods was an odd one. Her role would play a prominent part between both the gods and mortals. To judge the souls of the dead and console the living. If the soul was deemed necessary to go to the afterlife, Elysia would allow them. However, if the soul could not pass onto the next life – her body would absorb the soul with any knowledge it kept. For the gods that concerned themselves little with the mortals, these absorbed soul's memories were forced into being written down.
For who knows how long, her goddess' role went without problems. But absorbing so many souls throughout the eons took its toll on her mentality. A weak-willed goddess before and now as the mortal souls became devoured by her body, her personality became drastically different. She rebelled against her elders more, actions and language more than disrespectful.
One particular god noticed her change, and challenged her. Yearning to get away from her daily job of watching over souls, Elysia had agreed to it. This challenge pertained to the mortals and seeing how they would react to the god in front of them. Conditions for this challenge were vague and never fully explained in detail. He gave her but one chance to renege on the offer. But her pride got the better of her. To the mortal world they went.
The male enticed the females around him while Elysia was able to catch attention of the males. Both had been able talk normally with the mortals, until it was brought up about the gods. At this time, both the male god and she were together. A rule amongst the gods were to not let the mortals to know their own form. (Many mortals had their own ideas of how gods were supposed to act and look like.) While the mortals gave their opinion on the gods. While the male god just interjected small comments, a rage fueled in Elysia who stayed quiet.
But the god instigated the mortal thoughts on how the humans had viewed both of them. For the male, views were positive – the males saying he was probably a strong man with manners. The females remarked on how he was probably the perfect man. But when it came to talk about Elysia, their views were less than favorable – both viewing her as a goddess that was to look like an old hag with no care on human emotion. Elysia had snapped. “I am not!” The male god laughed, knowing how she would have reacted. A goddess with no experience with humans but their dead souls.
Like a ticking clock, Elysia felt cold and excused herself with the god following after her. His last words were domineering. “As expected from a stupid, useless goddess. Your punishment shall be swift.”
Moments later, the goddess stood in front of a council of gods and goddesses that were to judge her fate. On the lesser side, one suggested that she live the rest of her life out as a man. But the others disagreed – as it would be no punishment for a goddess like her. The elder looking goddess' expression of her actions worried her. One suggestion she had taken into consideration was to make her a human, to understand how it was to live like them. And it was the one she took, with slight modification.
"Understand the humans and get them to understand you," she stated before snapping her fingers. The other gods escaped from her vision, but that damned bastard that put her in this situation waved good bye to her with a wide grin. Ooo! How she could kill him right now.
Bum hitting the ground, Elysia was thrust into the world she had only seen from below her. Humans bumped into her, not knowing who she was. Try as she might to say things to them, none believed her. These mortals were absolutely ignorant. But she had seen there were people who were being persecuted.
Had she not followed these people, she would have stayed in the world where magic was forbidden. Elysia had ended in Dorcha Hollow. The only magic she knew centered around the spirits of the world. But the gods above had taken so much power from her, she had no clue which magic would still work.
Yet the decisions of the gods would cause more trouble than need be. For no one judged the spirits that went to the underworld, spirits were not allowed to be part of the afterlife. A stupid sentence with a stupid reaction. Little did Elysia or the other gods knew this would happen. And whether or not would affect the living world, well, everyone just had to wait and see.
As for the judge herself, she just wants to get and she doesn't know how long that will take.

★ MAGIC
PRIMARY SPECIALIZATION
Fidelium Aapientia :: Souls' Wisdom
(Support)
Being the goddess to judge the dead, it's easy to understand that in her mortal form that souls still flock to her. With these souls, she cannot attack with them as most souls will only service in aiding but not being offensive. Souls that do indeed help the goddess have been given permission by the eldest goddess to pass on to the after life (because too many souls has been too much of a problem.) Not all spells require souls – as the name is just for show.
FIDELIS CHORUS :: Faithful Double (Spirit)
What if for a few minutes, one mortal can be seen once again? The user will summon souls nearby. How? He/she will perform the ritualistic dance. If one step is performed out of place, the wrong types of souls may be drawn to the circle. This spell itself can be a two way street. If used to draw many souls, they will be nothing more than semi-transparent specters. But if focusing on a specific soul or two, their 'bodies' will almost mirror that of a humans. This can be used as a perfect distraction.
More souls will require more energy drain on the user's part. Therefore, most spirits will only last for so long. (1-2 souls = 3-4 posts; 3+ souls = 1 post.)
MORTIS RECESSUM :: Death's Recoil (Spirit + Dark)
The souls of the ground wish to eat those above. Yet it seems only their hands can break the surgace. The user can summon souls from under the earth in order to stop an opponent in their tracks. However, they cannot do much more than that. (1 post.)
DEA EST TIMERE :: Goddess's Fear (Light)
A bright light will blind those in a surrounding area when the user is in a panic mode. Light will emanate from the user's own body. This allows the user to escape from a situation or temporary figure things out. (1 post.)
SECONDARY SPECIALIZATION
Fidelium Iudicium :: Souls' Judgement
(Offensive)
Though rarer than their peaceful counterparts, there are offensive souls willing to serve the goddess. Unlike the others, these souls know they will just be absorbed into Elysia anyway. In a way, this is the penance for any mishaps in their past. Under her guidance, these souls will act as guards. (However, not all spells require souls – Elysia just likes the name.)
ANIMA SCINTILLAM :: Soul Spark (Spirit)
Holding a hand in the air, souls will flock to the center forming a small purple-ish sphere that will stop once there have been enough souls gathered for an attack. The user must concentrate on the hand while the souls are coming. Once the amount of souls have been achieved, the user may attack with the sphere. This spell is relatively weak compared to many elemental spells.
ANIMA SPHAERA :: Soul Sphere (Spirit + Air)
With the use of one soul, it forms into a small spherical wispy ball. However, the sphere has no control from either itself or the user that summoned it. The user will be able to collect the soul energy until the sphere is completely solidified. Because of its uncontrollable nature, it does not last long when attacking either the user and its allies or the opponent. (Therefore, it might be a good idea to hide when the spell is cast). (1 post.)
EXTRA SPELLS
These spells are obtained through special means, such as magical items, and are not affected by Specialization requirements.
WILL 'O WISP (Fire & Light | Support)
A warm energy runs through your fingertips, and upon raising your hands outwards, small fiery orbs are summoned and begin to float around the surrounding area. These orbs, when there is no danger, provide warm light that can pierce through any darkness, magical or non magical. However, if danger arises, these flaming orbs will move to surround the user and will give any enemy who should dare to attack you a nasty burn. The wisps will stay around for 5 posts once summoned, and will follow the summoner.
