anyone / esplosions / dumb mortals... The times one slept here in the Hollow were rather odd. And the housing arrangements were less than subpar than she had wanted. In the goddess' own realm, Elysia could sprawl out on the bed – though sleep was barely needed any. But as a mortal – tiredness always waved over her. So this is why mortals were so intent on sleeping. From the past month, more sleep always good.
Outside of the housing district, Elysia leaned against one of the posts to House Dearg. Her neighbors can in and out, taking about their mundane lives. One was about sewing; the other just picking up fruit. Really? How could humans enjoy talking about such things? Hell, these were mages for god's sake. She thought they would at least talk about blowing some one's. But nope, just normal tasks. How joyful. How, how joyful.
Times likes these made the judge somewhat sad about leaving her spot at the dead's door. They had vast amounts of knowledge, especially the old ones. And hell, she couldn't discern whether one was a mage or a nonmagical mortal. That was nice too. Sometimes, these mages go it in their head they were a little higher than life. But being persecuted by a being that... eh... whatever. Elysia knew to keep herself out of these mortal affairs – after the fact she was stuck here.
BOOM. A ruckus of people screaming out of the houses. The goddess looked at the direction it was coming from. It was too soft to be coming from behind her. “Fucking geez.” She spat under her breath, pivoting her foot towards the green-trimed housing.
“I should not be working about these blood-grimmers...ugh...” Rubbing her forehead, the goddess ran towards the housing.
At least sleep would be forgotten for now. A normalcy she much enjoyed to get back. |

Onork was enjoying a nice nighttime stroll. Well, he was pretty sure it was nighttime. He pushed up his hat a little bit and though it was a bit less dark after that, it was still kind of dark. Yup, it was a nighttime stroll. Hopefully it would stay that way for a while, because if it suddenly got light, that would mean he had accidentally traveled through time, which would most likely be a bad thing.
Nighttime strolls were nice because most people were asleep, so if he tripped and got in the way, less people would get mad at him. Also, it was less embarrassing to get lost at night than during the day. The darkness provided a great excuse, but still-
BOOM!
An explosion! That was not normal for a nighttime stroll. At least Onork didn't think so. What if it was an Onork from the future being disposed of by the space-time continuum? Onork was curious, so he made his way in the direction of the explosion. Now if he got lost, he could tell people he was trying to avoid the explosion. Brilliant!
Onork felt smart.

Onork, anyone / esplosions and smoke One loud, ass drunkard screamed straight in her ear while stumbling past her. Running was going to do her no good. But got that man disorientated her sense of stability. Elysia shook her head, trying to regain some composure as the crowd had started to thin down as she got closer.
The smell of smoke had grown tenfold since the beginning of housing area. And eyes grew watery as the ash particles stuck her her cornea. Instinct was setting in from her mortal side. Her hands rubbed it, but the stinging grew worse. The aroma became more unbearable, but at least she wasn't heaving.
But what the hell happened? As few people were still rushing out and were so dysfunctional or fearful, the goddess was going to have to take this into her own hands. Little fuckers couldn't stay still. Then again, she hadn't said anything either. Elysia eyed, or tried, the building, but wasting souls was not going to be good idea until she could figure out what the hell was going on. |

Onork began to wonder if he was going in the right direction. He was sure he saw the smoke and fire of the flames ahead, but everybody seemed to be running in the opposite direction. Several people tripped, a few of them tripping on Onork, muttering something, and then continuing their run. Onork was knocked over several times, but never trampled. That was a good sign: if he had accidentally traveled back in time, that would be a great way for the space-time continuum to kill him, but since it wasn't taking advantage of the opportunity, Onork felt safe.
Onork felt less safe as he approached. It smelled pretty bad. Like burning stuff. Onork remembered smelling a version of him like this when the other him had caught on fire. That was uncomfortable to watch. Maybe it would have been better if he had brought marshmellows. Fortunately, no one seemed to be burning to death here, at least as far as Onork could tell. But Onork could see one lady who was not running away from the fire. She seemed somehow familiar, but Onork couldn't quite put his finger on how he knew her. Maybe a different Onork was acquainted with her at some point? That was always possible. The space-time continuum had a funny way of giving him slight inklings of what his other selves had done.
Onork walked up just next to the woman, not sure really what to do from there. She seemed calmer than the other people, so she obviously knew what she was doing, which meant this exact distance from the explosion was the perfect place to stand. Right! Onork just had to stick with this lady, and he would seem like he knew what he was doing. There was no way this could go wrong.
