| ► | DAKOTA MASTERS FRIENDS are a common enough occurrence for Dakota. When she isn't in one of her grumpy moods, she's really quite sweet, and easy to get along with. She carries around a wax tablet and stylus to communicate, though, so it might be harder (but certainly not impossible!) for illiterate characters to form a close friendship with her. Anyone who shares her love for music gains immediate brownie points!
ENEMIES are definitely a possibility, ranging from friendly rivalries to full-blown adversaries. Dakota can be very sarcastic and passive-aggressive when she's not feeling the greatest, which can annoy some people. She tends to dislike people who use self-deprecating humor or joke about self harm, so doing either of those will land nearly anyone on her bad side. She also is, for the most part, pretty moral, so things like committing crimes are a no-no.
ROMANCE is not something Dakota is actively seeking out, but that doesn't mean she isn't interested in it. She is bisexual, and tends to be shy around anyone she might be interested in. Dakota has an infatuation with mysterious and enigmatic people, though her fascination with such people can sometimes fade once she figures them out and there's no more puzzle to solve.

:9 bard high five except not high five because frankly i feel this will be bordering on friendly rivalry a lil between Dakota and Brae and i think it would be pretty one-sided in terms of affection maybe but OMG okay i'll get my ideas down and see what you think
okay, you know brae!! troubadour, con man, horrible person and his reaction to dakota would very mixed. half delighted she can play too, quarter disappointed she can't speak and a quarter obsessing over her playing skill. i mean i am curious what does she play in particular or do u not rly have an instrument set at the moment? b/c idk i just see brae buzzing around intrusively force feeding her music sheets okay I'm really sorry thats just how it is.
brae's at least useful in that he'll have little issue reading the tablet which might help dear dakota out a bit! his personality i feel would draw sarcasm and bite out of her okay I LOVE HER SASSINESS and it's perfectly capable thru a tablet tbqh pls kick brae's shins miss dakota they deserve what's coming to them.
sorry you know i get carried away otherwise but i want to say something like vitriolic buds? not best buds level but it'd be a friendship that is filled with snark on dakota's end. you describe her playing as a lil abysmal and that is the sweetest and greatest thing in the world rly – and i mentioned terrible cheery honesty from brae in the realms of "wow you play terribly, god awful", hoping to go "i have a curse that makes me tell the truth, my bad" but it coming out something more like "i have a curse that makes me tell the truth but i felt like saying that anyway, my bad" tbqh.
at the end, it might be nicer than the coldness she got from her village but its still unfortunately brae! especially since i think morally they would defs clash. not that brae walks around w/ a post it note to his head saying "i find killing people a fairly uncomplicated thing to do" but if things happened they would eventually grow apart morally yeah yeah???
ANYWAY. SOMETHING OF A VITRIOLIC RELATIONSHIP? brae unfortunately trying to give her pointers trying to failing because he's a self-obsessed jerk and he shouldnt even be giving her pointers if she doesnt ask?? HEHE but yes give more ideas if u have them pls

i was thinking as we discussed slightly in skype that she plays a string instrument, specifically the vielle! and yeah she's pretty terrible at it right now. A VITRIOLIC RELATIONSHIP SOUNDS BRILLIANT TBH!! with Brae's horrible honesty dakota is sure to snark at him especially if he insults her music hehe. and yeah if anything ever happened that questioned their morality i imagine things would get a little hairy between them! also hmm hmm since brae has a curse and dakota has a curse i imagine she'd be a little more forgiving of him for his brutal honesty? like she'd still be pretty sassy but a little more understanding because she understands not being able to control things because of a curse... yeah... also she'd be super curious about how he got cursed and why etc. every thread with these two sounds like a joke just waiting for a punchline tbh-- TWO CURSED MUSICIANS WALK INTO A BAZAAR... okay perfect omg! terribleness is great, 2 many people are 2 good at things >8) but brae will be like a backseat driver of dakota's playing maybe : ' ( just like "whoa too sharp there, make sure you stand right" etcetc b/c he wouldn't rly understand the meaning of unwelcome criticism even though like… he thinks all criticism of himself is entirely unwelcome so he'll be hypocriting it up in that backseat too AHAHA SORRY
and curse buddies ofc that's brilliant!! like, he'd show the same amount of curiosity back about hers – he's not really able to lie about his, after all, so he won't really be able to keep much from her re: his sweet tat B). but i think they differ really interestingly in their curses in that dakota kinda atoned for what she did and obviously regrets her actions. brae, on the other hand, is doing nothing of the sort to remedy his actions that got him the curse >8( BUT I INTEND FOR HIM TO CHANGE TO SOME DEGREE AND DEFS… curse party… he will very much be like "don't you want to get rid of yours like me why don't you try" :9 :9 tbqh their relationship will have a flavour of this in my mind okay (about the first half of the video anyway god bless)
i'd love to thread b/c threading w/ u is bomb!! right now it is 5am and i am a bit sparse on ideas!! BUT I WANNA HIT STUFF UP an adventure for them b/c, for real, two cursed bards man THE BEST
