Stairs, leading towards the heavens. Oh, how it seemed to mock the mortal goddess standing before it. For the fellow gods, this would be welcoming – to know that the mortals thought of them as beings in the clouds. But for Elysia and the underworld gods, this was just a spit on a sore wounds.
And one of those wonderful gods just had to be the one that threw her down here. Unlike him, she really had no followers – but the dead. Of course in rituals, her name was mentioned, but it never was fully put in detail. The goddess huffed, thinking about what he did and what he said. Handing running through her silver locks, Elysia looked off to the side.
Praying to a goddess from another goddess was an uncommon thing to do, but right now, she wished to talk to her 'birth' mother. But then again, that woman would swat her wrist for asking for guidance. And if she did help, the shrine would be up in arms. “Arrghhh...” Elysia pounded her foot on the ground. This damn mortal world was too much for her.
In order for her to get rid of this frustration, one or two rounds of these stairs would help vent that anger. “Damning shit. If I ever get my hands on him!” She cursed under her breath as she started her dash towards the top. |

But after hours of search he could say that it wasn't where he had left it, and after checking his own statue he could say that no one had left it there. The last thing he did before he gave up on the search was to ask someone that was either a cleric or grounds keeper if he had seen the pendant, which he had. He thought it was meant as an offering, so he placed it on Kuroth's statue, but when he did so a bird flew off with it as soon as he turned his back to it.
Well, that sucked, but at least it was a clue. Like its nest couldn't be that far off. However, before he could go on with that he noticed a familiar presence. Elysia's beautiful and porcelain like skin always caught his eyes, and the forms didn't help either. They showed two things that was important to Kuroth as a conceptual being: Wealth and fertility. Of course, by themselves, those things were swollow and it was only when she had begun to rebel and cause troubles that he had fully gained interest in her. But he couldn't keep on doing an Edward (which he hadn't actually done as these musings had been made over a second), so he approached her. His face illuminated by the full moon, and he took no action to hide who he was. “Good evening. If you are looking for your statue, you can find it in a little mausoleum down that part.” He pointed towards it. “By the way, it's nice seeing you again, Elysia. You'd compliment your looks, but I am afraid you might hit me for it.” He followed up with a smile.

Someone mentioned that she would be able to find her statue elsewhere. Wow, did some of the people really recognize her in this form? That was a shock, but that seemed odd. Wait, that was odd. Half her statues were in the image of a hag and... Lifting her head, that asshole was standing straight in her way. Of all places to meet him at, Elysia had to run into him at the shrines – where everyone including the gods could see them.
Now, as much of an asshole that Kuroth was, he was not that to look at. But that was it. His personality was horrible, and such a player – as one would expect of a fertility god. “Pfft, thanks for nothing you big oaf.” She said, casually holding her hip to the side. When he mentioned something about getting complimented on her looks but not, that man was a smart one. He'd seen enough of her to know to keep a slight distance. Smiling like he was, Elysia grabbed his face or well, she wished to. “Get that lazy playboy smile off your face, Kuroth. Then I really will think about punching you.”
She sighed, walking away from the stairs slightly, but still close enough to Kuroth to maintain a conversation without a hand on his face. “Then again, you should be sent the soul stream for what you did to me.” |

Although, one would think you would want me alive instead of throwing me into the life stream and have me reincarnated.”
Obviously it was a joke, but he was ready in case Elysia took it as an invitation to start hitting him now. But there was still something she brought up that she wanted to make sure the little goddess understood that she might have told others when she was more deadpan of nature.
“On a related note however, please be harder on yourself and remember which part of what you did were of your own agency and not something I forced you into doing; thank you very much. If I remember correctly, the only thing I did that could be construed as a bad thing was to taunting you before you went in to be judged by the higher gods.”
He crossed his arms, and remembered he hadn't eaten in a while.
“So I am hungry and were going to conjure forward some food. Any fruits you want?” He was smiling genuinely as he asked this, and with his arms on his hips instead of crossed across his torso.

Rolling her eyes, Elysia listened to his little counterattack to her simple declaration. And of course, Kuroth when on a small rant on how it was all on her and not him at all. Well, partially, he did admit that he sucked her into doing something. All of it was on her. Flustered, the goddess was prepared to punch him across the damn face. And if it weren't for the holy ground, goddamnit, she would have slapped him across the face.
Mother goddess, I know you are here. So... fudge, I can't... She thought to herself. Her hand was gripped as she punched the air, narrowly missing a visitor to the shrine. Her eyes glared deeply into his until Kuroth brought up something stupid and not dealing with the topic at hand AT ALL.
“Fruit, you want to talk about fruit? You are helpless.” Exasperated, she held her head, swaying back and forth. Goddamn, this man was absolutely a joke sometimes. How did so many men and women fall in love with this man.
But her stomach grumbled and he just had to know things that dealt with food. Her trust level in this man was low, but her hunger won over her mental hatred for this man. “Pineapple, asshole. Pineapple.” She hasitly added on something extra. “If you sprinkle any weird shit on it, I'll wake your....you know... thing off.” Saying penis in the holy place was not going to make mother goddess happy. |

Tag: ElysiaWord Count: 259 words OOC: Testing all the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. the way through. | Not so much to his surprise, Elysia wasn't that amused with his presence no less his words. But who the wouldn't have expected that under these circumstances? He could tease her about it, but he didn't feel like doing that at the moment. He just conjured forward out of the thin air some pomegranates and a pineapple larger enough to be a fitting tool for Hitler's punishment (that little Nicky joke is so outdated).
He pulled out his dagger and placed it into the pineapple, that was so thick the dagger could not pierce through it, throwing the fruit to Elysia: “I hope you will enjoy the sweet taste in your mouth and the sensation of a filled stomach.” He tried not to smile realizing the implication some people could take from that gutting statement. He figured that he wouldn't stab her with the dagger, and even if she wanted to it wasn't in good taste to do it in a holy place like this.
He placed most of the fruits on the offering plate in front of his mother's statue, and started to eat the seeds inside his own fruit. “I hope it is to your satisfaction, Elysia. So how has the mortal treated you? My time was a little rough, but I got here and have a marked stand up and running.”
Although realizing where they were he quickly asked, “Of course, I am willing to talk else where if that is what you want at the moment.” But personally he did not care.

Watching him try to even piece through its skin, Elysia sighed. He gave her the fruit, but no way to eat it. “Kuroth, you know this is useless right now.” She sighed, holding it in her arms. Free food was always welcome as her mortal body had to do random jobs for money for food.
Quiet as she was, Elysia listened to the other god, confident in how he had gotten a name for himself in the market place, being able to sell food (thanks to his mother's blessing) and make somewhat of a living that was stable. But that question to her stuck – hard. Her jobs were all over the place. Some paid better than others. Some used more energy – and some of the jobs that she could do with ease like exorcisms were only allowed for the clergymen and women much to her dismay.
“Well, my daily life has been shitty so far. I have no skills that are useful to settle down.” Elysia glanced towards the pineapple. “But from the sound of it, you seem to do well right now. Though I still wonder why you even decided to follow me here? To torture me?” The young goddess rolled her eyes, unsure of how he would respond to her. Kuroth had already known most of her emotions on this subject and that she would upset about it.
But what he hastily mentioned at the end bore some attention from the rebel deity. “Oh, what do you mean by that? To move elsewhere? Are...ppffttt.... you implying to do something? Or do you really mean just to talk?”
Something was dripping down her side, though the goddess herself did not notice. Her mind was too focused on thoughts of what Kuroth could do, especially with him being a patron god that should be in love with physical contact.

You don't happen to know anything about that?” He raised an eyebrow looking her over with an analysing look.
It seemed that she had some suspensions about the need to go somewhere else that he had to clarify, “If you really have to ask, you know it has nothing to do with fornication. I mess with people but not in matters of romance and pleasures, Elysia. That much you should know.” He looked to the side before facing her again. “I just want to talk outside of my parents' view which you might understand yourself, eh? Just going away from the alters is fine with me.”
Noticing the yellow non-piss liquid flowing down her leg, he grinned and utter a warning: “Seems like the mighty pineapple is bleeding. Why don't you cut it out further with that dagger and put it out of its misery?”

Before she had a chance to respond for their change of scenery due to the divinity of the shrine, she felt the liquid as soon as Kuroth mentioned it. Embarrassed, her pale face brimmed with the color red and she wiped the liquid away as best she could before doing as he suggested with the pineapple. A quick yank and she was eating the pineapple with ease, the food finally sedating her ever hungry stomach. Her yellow eyes looked at him while she ate, trying not to let him know how embarrassed she was. The husk of the pineapple was large enough to keep most of her face hidden.
Like a mad woman, she ate, with some glares from the holy people – judging her for doing that in such a place. Well, if they knew any better and knew she was a goddess, they'd be pleased, but Elysia let them keep their smugness for now.
“Ahh...” Patting her stomach, Elysia smiled before her attention was on Kuroth again. “Falcon...” She looked away briefly. Of course the Falcon was her holy animal, but... was he seriously pointing fingers at her beloved birds? If one of them had, she would have sensed it, even in her mortal form. “I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about...But that really isn't the issue now is it?”
Of course, as he had mentioned, she should know when he did certain things. But even then, she was never sure with his personality. “Well, you know, the god's themselves have stories, so I can never be so sure. Being...far underground and secluded as possible.” The young goddess whispered to her fellow god mortal. “But moving away from your mother shouldn't be a problem. As much as I hate to say it, no one probably will notice anything near my shrine, so that is an ideal suggestion or even just outside of the shrine's reach, like a five minute walk into the forest.”
She grinned. “Or would mother dear still hear you?” She joked, her hand retrieving the knife from the dead pineapple carcass.

Tag: ElysiaWord Count: idk words OOC: Still feeling ill when I posted this. Ps. Could you please advance to the other place, Biddy? | “Are you not slightly sheepish about talking openly in front of your own parents, Elysia? They don't always need to know that you are buying something if it is with your own money.” He smiled at her general behaviour. He was sure maybe one or fourteen people had called her egotistic ever since her little rebellion spree. But clearly that wasn't the case when she forgot to apply the idea of going away from peeking ears being in her own self-interest.
“Your shrine will be fine,” he followed up after a second or so of musing, “Although could I get my dagger back now? I don't think you need it any more now that you have conquered this mighty pineapple of doom.”
“Speaking of doom, here you go.” He took out a clean looking handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to her with a smile. “One can't talk to in front of oneself, also known as your statue, with juices all over ones mouth.”
