IMBUE
Intermediate
Intermediate
Description: This spell must be learned through long periods of practice, and even then results can vary with a not-so-experienced caster. When enchanting a one use scroll, the only materials needed are the written spell and a crystal to channel the magic. The process is similar with a weapon or piece of armor: simply have the correct crystal for the spell type and you'll have your permanently enchanted item. When not using a spell, however, specific materials to replace it will be needed. During the enchanting, the object will glow until the magic sets in. It is possible for the color of the object to change permanently once enchanted. At the intermediate level, this spell can combine a maximum of two beginner level spells in a single enchantment. When using a magical material instead of a spell, the resultant enchantment will be less predictable in its nature--imbuing a spell will give a known and direct effect while enchanting using a material has the possibility to yield one of several varying effects.
Effects: Enchants an object. Can only imbue a weapon with offensive magic and armor with support magic. Enchanted scrolls will be destroyed after one use, but more durable objects (weapons and armor) will be able to use the enchantment indefinitely. Maximum of one intermediate spell OR combination of two beginner spells (ex. fire-type beginner spell and light-type beginner spell to create 'burning light' ability on a weapon).
