Could this place get any weirder? Sil had not been in the Hollow for a long time by any standards, and things were only getting more odd. Just to start with, there are monsters and foreboding areas in the forest, even if they are filled to the brim with magic. Yes, Lysilien was capitalizing on the magical energies flooding this place, but that didn't he had to trust all of it. A cave no one has ever heard of popping up? I mean, sure, the whole society was rather new, but you would think the population of wizards would have noticed a cave full of energy infested gemstones. Okay, maybe not filled with, but Lysilien was really only interested in the crafting materials. He had been to the cave on short trips already, but hadn't had the chance to really explore it.
One day, though, something was just off about the place. Glowing crystal monsters and deposits of useful crystals the elf could handle, but was that sand? There was no way those were waves crashing against something he heard, right? This was a cave! Of course there was water down here somewhere, but not a damn ocean of it. Nonetheless, these are the things Sil noticed.
Making the probably poor decision to investigate further on his own, the young elf stepped carefully into the light. There is no way this place was in Dorcha. None at all. The forest was too dark and definitely not near an ocean. Yet there Lysilien stood, assaulted by the smell of the ocean and eyes overwhelmed by the glare of the sun. For all the magic in The Dark Forest--and how much of it malevolent--this place could not be natural. For all the man knew, it wasn't even real; it could just as easily be an illusion he had stumbled into. It was not to be trusted.
Still, what could a little more comfort hurt while Sil tested his suspicions? The warmth from the sun encouraged him to shed his vest--really, the man should invest in some armor if he was to continue exploring so much--leaving him bare-chested. It's a good thing he had worn a large hat today or he might go blind from the stark sunlight. Stepping out of his thin shoes and leaving his pack on the ground, Lysilien started wandering over the sand. He was looking critically at everything as his tattoos meandered over torso as if to express his worry for him.
