This was the best idea for a date.

Admittedly, Daja had not been on a date in... well, she didn't want to think about that. Not because it had been a long time, but because it reminded her of her dead husband. She didn't think of Hakeem as a very jealous person, or that he wouldn't want her to go out and have fun, but this would be the first time since his death that she'd gone on a date with anyone. Best to just push threw it and try to have fun.

And find things. Lots of things. She stood at the lip of the cave, rocking back and forth on her heels and the balls of her feet. In one hand she held a bucket, while in the other a pickaxe. Both were borrowed from a few people in town. The axe she knew would be helpful, the bucket she could only guess. She'd been a blacksmith, not a miner. Still, if ore was to be found, she'd bet that it was in these caves.

And the only thing standing between her and all that ore was some rocks and her pitiable knowledge of geology. Well, that and a partner. She glanced up at the sky, and nibbled on her lower lip. She was early--being rather excited about the prospects of both a date and getting iron. Unfortunately, that meant she had some time to kill before Kuroth showed up. She shifted, feeling her energy build up. After a moment, she glanced over her shoulder looking into the cave. The cave was slightly lit by luminescent fungus, still it wasn't enough for Daja to see very far. Her brow crinkled, if she strained her ears hard enough, she could almost hear something echoing in the dark.

The woman shook her head. No, she was being ridiculous. Just her nerves getting the best of he while she waited for Kuroth.

Was this a date, or an excuse to have some cheap labour? Kuroth could not be sure about that, but Daja was an alternative kind of woman after all so it could be. At least she was honest about the need for him to wear sturdy clothes for when they were to go into the caves in Uaimh Ceo. Not only did he have clothes like that on (instead of the finer clothes he had on back at the marked place), but also a pickaxe, two buckets with a shoulder harness, and that harness also held a large amount of fire woods that he was going to drop outside when he was done making a temperately shelter outside of the cave that he was going to make with the hatched on his shoulder. Hopefully the woman had clay and charcoal so that they could melt the ore into bars before they left. Being knowledge about manual labour was one of the boons of being a former god of trades, you pretty much know the basic of pretty much everything except for specific knowledges incentive like engineering, carpeting, smiting, etc. Handling a hatched specially he had learned when he was out hunting with some other small godlings like himself when he was a child from one of the gods of hunting: Old Deadeye, Erastil. He arrived to the scene with his heavy package, and waved to the tall woman. “Hello there, Daja. Nice to see that you are in good time.” He smiled, and stopped waving dropping the shoulder harness on the ground nearby. “And before you ask, this is to be kept above ground unless there is flint down in the cave to block off the ore. In which case we're going to stack the wood up against it, set it on fire, and let it heat up the flint until it burns out. After wards we just have to look through the rubble to find the ore. If not we just have to do it the old fashion way with pickaxes. But before all that I'd like to make a temporarily shelter before we walk down the cave” After he had said that he stretched his back before remembering that he promised to tell her his full name when they went on the date. He dropped the rest of the load, so the pickaxe and shovel, and walked over to shake her hand should she accept it. “Of course, I promissed you to tell you my full name. I am Kuroth Ziracch, god of fertility, trickery, and trades who has been forced to walk the earth in almost mortal form along with Elysia the goddess of the death to teach us a lessed. I hope that wasn't a too heavy bomb to drop on you.” He laughed at his last word.
