Eveline was still a little panicked. She had lost her love last night and despite all efforts had not been able to locate him again. He had gotten too far for her to see him, hear him, or Sense him. It was not often that Eveline, a century-old vampire, panicked, but this was her childe! One does not simply lose the one they sire! The two had traveled together so much since his birth, and they had grown quite fond of each other. Very fond of each other. Of course the girl could survive without him--had done for decades beforehand--but that did not mean she wanted to. She had to keep telling herself that her companion was capable of making it alone as well. That he had magic just like her and all the same abilities. The only difference was a few decades of age between them. Some in their clan even thought Eveline shouldn't fawn over the boy like she did, but she had so few children, and none of them were as close to her as this one. It was not uncommon for a sire to keep a close connection to her children in the first place.
Where was she? What was this? Buildings? If you could call them that. They were more like toppled trees with sticks poking out of them. Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration, but was there even any stone construction in this place? How primitive! Eveline had been in much more urban areas, so perhaps her expectations were too high. Still, she was unimpressed with the state of this place. Even as she approached what seemed to be the real town, nothing was all that special. Before anyone could see her, Eveline cast a quick Glamour to disguise herself, hiding the scar on her neck, her fangs, and coloring her eyes differently. Ugh, she still looked terrible. Blood spattered everywhere from yesterday, hair unkempt. She had only been out for a few days now, but she looked like she'd been living in the wild for longer. A good bathing would right everything, though. Even with the disheveled appearance, it was all too clear how attractive the young-seeming girl was. Just another gift of her vampirism. Who would ever think such a beautiful thing evil?
It was already getting dark--thankfully. It made more shadow for Eveline to hide about in. She couldn't go into the light, especially with her Glamour up. It was still evident that was distressed, however mildly so. She had no interest in causing a scene, all she wanted was to find her lover. He wouldn't go into this little town would he? There were much darker places to hide. Ugh, might as well check out the horrendous place to make sure. She would find. Yes. Yes, Eveline would find her childe.
