Today the mist around Loch Dorcha seems to be keeping itself to around just the dark lake. As the mist subsides, you notice objects hidden in the tall grasses. Eggs? They weren't in nests though. Maybe they were special eggs? Magical eggs? Will curiosity get the better of you? If so, search everywhere for these eggs in order to discover what surprises they hold! Update: The Sparkling Purple Egg has been found!

Onork found himself wandering by the shore of the lake while wondering how he got there. He was told there were eggs to be found and that it was a good idea to find them, so he decided to do that, and started walking in a random direction until he found one. Despite all of the obvious ones he should have noticed on the way through his straight line, he managed to notice none of them, in addition to failing to notice most of the landmarks that would have told him where he was going. Fortunately, the lake was a pretty obvious marker, as was the receding mist, so he didn't walk into the lake and managed to avoid drowning.
As Onork looked around Loch Dorcha, staring directly past a few that were in plain sight, something finally caught his attention, probably because it was actually moving, though it was still strange because it blended into the background better than any of the eggs he'd been missing. A shadowy figure floated on the surface of the lake, and was slowly drifting to the shore. Onork strained his eyes, trying to make out what the figure was. This strategy was not working, but Onork had learned patience over the years, and could wait for the mysterious object to come closer for him to get a better look at it. It was too large and irregularly shaped to be an egg, but this distraction was more than enough for Onork to forget his current goal.
After a minute of waiting, Onork noticed that the object had stopped moving closer to him. He glanced at it and looked around nervously. Was it safe to get in the water? He felt pretty confident in his swimming abilities. He had never really learned how to swim, but he could probably float, or at least use his stick as a floatation device. Failing that, he could try reaching out to the future and hopefully get one of those rubber things filled with air. Those were great at floating, and the last one he got had had a cute duck design on it. Satisfied with these possibilities, Onork ran into the lake and made his way toward the object.
Upon hitting the water and making a few slowed strides, Onork noticed that he didn't feel wet, and the water wasn't splashing. He stopped and thought about it for a moment, and realized why the object had stopped moving.
"Time Lag," Onork muttered.
Just as quickly as Onork had realized what had happened, the Time Lag ended. Several splashes sounded simultaneously as Onork's lower half suddenly felt soaked. Onork, startled, jumped, and noticed as he did so that the object had disappeared. He scanned the horizon frantically, wondering where that object could have gone during the Time Lag. Onork eventually gave up and turned around to go back to shore, when he noticed that the object was already there! It must have passed him during the Time Lag. Excited, Onork hurried to the object, but stopped when he was close enough to realize what it was.
"Hey Look, It's Me."
Indeed, the object was not an object, but a person! It was a version of Onork from the future that had traveled back in time. It seemed as though the space-time continuum had already done its work on reasserting itself, as the future Onork seemed thoroughly dead. Onork looked around to make sure no one was watching, and took off his hat out of respect for his deceased other self.
Onork decided to give his other a burial at sea. It was probably what he would have wanted. Onork pondered this for a minute. Would he really want a burial at sea if that was where he died? Besides, it was a lake, not a sea. Onork pondered the question and decided that the most convenient option was the best, since he had no way of knowing what he had been thinking in that version of the future, and wouldn't know how he would have wanted his funeral.
Onork walked up on dry land so he could give his future self a good shove back out onto the lake. He watched himself float away and looked down to where he had been beached. The body had displaced some of the mud, revealing an egg underneath. Onork picked up the egg and remembered what he was here for. Onork pocketed the egg, immediately forgetting that he had encountered a dead version of himself. It had happened enough times, so it wasn't really a bizarre occurrence. Onork continued walking along the shore of the lake, while the robes of his dead other soaked in enough water to finally sink to the bottom of the lake.

Onork tripped as he continued his walk along the shoreline. He didn't trip on anything specifically. It might have been an egg, but Onork would never have noticed something like that. He hit the ground face first, but since this was at the edge of a lake, the ground was moist and soft, so the fall wasn't as painful as his usual falls. The waterbed of mud was a comfortable pillow, but keeping your face in mud for a long time is pretty bad for your health, so Onork rolled over onto his back, once again managing to avoid drowning. He was on a roll today.
As Onork looked up at the sky, he noticed a branch hanging over him. He squinted at the branch, and nestled in the twigs was an egg! Onork quickly sat up, excited to find another egg. And people told him he was bad at this sort of thing! At this rate, he could have three within an hour! A personal record! Onork got to his feet and looked up at the branch. That was when Onork realized there was a problem: the tree was tall, and he was short. Onork wasn't any good at climbing trees either, so that was a solution completely unavailable to him. He looked up at the tree and pondered his options, when an idea hit him: he could pull a ladder out of the future!
Onork held out his hand and concentrated. This never worked the way he wanted it too, but maybe it would this time. Onork repeated "ladder" in his head over and over as he prepared to pull an object out of the future. He closed his eyes and concentrated until his head ached, and then he felt his hand suddenly gripping something round. This had to be it! Ladder rungs were round, right! Onork opened his eyes to find that, obviously, he was wrong. Instead of a ladder, or anything that could provide any assistance to him reaching that branch, he found that he was holding an egg.
"Oh," Onork said to himself, more out of surprise than disappointment. It wasn't going to help him with the current situation, but at least it was something. Onork pocketed his new egg, pleased that though he had completely failed his current goal, he was closer to beating his personal record. However, he still needed one more egg to make that dream a reality. He looked up at the branch, and pondered more options...

Onork looked up at the egg still up in the branch and frowned. This was going to prove problematic. A few hundred years ago, he would have kept trying to pull objects out of the future until he got himself a nice ladder, rope, or other climbing device. However, on that day a few hundred years ago, he realized that trying to use that ability too much in a short period of time would yield some...unpleasant results. It took weeks to work that stuff out of his system, and his left elbow still itched from time to time. No, trying for a ladder again was, most certainly, what some scholars would call "a bad idea."
Onork paced the area, thinking about what he could possibly do to get the egg. Maybe he could ask someone make at the settlement for help? No, then he would feel obligated to split his findings with them, and it wouldn't count as beating his record if he had to get help from someone. More importantly, Onork was still thoroughly lost, and wouldn't be able to find his way back to town anyway. His pacing became more frantic as he grew frustrated, and as he made a turn spun a bit too fast, falling over. He landed on his back, so his face didn't get stuck in the mud, meaning that once again he managed to...well, you know.
When he hit the ground he noticed that the branch above him swayed a little. This was likely caused by the wind, but Onork thought it was because the impact of him falling sent vibrations through the tree, causing it to shake. Onork stared at the swaying branch, trying to figure out how he could apply this new-found knowledge. After a while, he formulated a plan and stood up.
Onork faced the tree's trunk, took a deep breath, counted to three, and then...
"CHAAAAAAAAARGE!"
Onork ran at the tree as fast as his short legs could carry him, and slammed into it. Onork was launched back by the recoil and fell back to his usual spot on the ground dizzied. Just then, a slightly stronger wind blew in, causing the branch to shake more. The egg fell from its admittedly precarious position and landed in the soft robes over Onork's chest. Onork slowly lifted his hand to grab the egg, his vision getting fuzzy, and placed it in his pocket, utterly convinced that it fell because of his valiant charge, even though that wasn't even close to being true. As far as he was concerned, he had beaten his record, and now it was time to lay in the soft mud and take a quick nap.

Onork only slept for 15 minutes because the water in the lake rose just enough to reach out to his position on the shore and damped the back of his head. He sat up quickly, startled from the wetness that now occupied the back of the skull. He decided not to think too much about what would have happened had he not woken up, because that joke was getting old. Onork moved away from the shore and sat against the tree he had defeated.
Onork reached into his pocket and pulled out the eggs so he could count them. He had to make sure he had exactly three, or eggsactly three. He laughed for a moment at the pun he made in his head before feeling ashamed of himself. If he had less than three eggs, then that meant he had not broken his record. If he had more than three eggs, that would be worse, because then the next time he looked for eggs, his record would be harder to break next time, thus making that feeling of stomach butterflies harder to obtain in the future. Onork laid out the eggs in front of him and held his breath. He knew he had exactly three...
One...
He distinctly remembered only getting three, this was just a precautionary measure.
Two...
But you never know with Time Magic. Weird stuff could happen sometimes.
Three!
There! Exactly three. Why had he been so...
Wait, four?!
Indeed, there was a fourth egg there. Onork had no idea how it got there, though the most likely possibility was that it had been in that patch of grass the whole time and he had been too preoccupied and oblivious to know this. Onork let out a sorrowful sigh and placed the four eggs in his pocket. His record would now be harder to beat next time. He stood up and adjusted his hat. Oh well, might as well go for broke now. Onork continued on his way, searching for more eggs, now determined to overcome this setback by instead trying to set the best record ever.

@tagged Here was an individual who had literally no idea what he was doing with his life, except hiding from the general anti-magic population. And the only reason why he was at the lake so early in the morning was that he simply wanted to take a walk. Wander aimlessly along a scenic lake. Great plan, Eldak.
The elf strolled along the edge of the lake, carefully placing booted feet on a well worn animal track that wove through the long grasses. The dirt path, sometimes vanishing and then reappearing a few feet away, led him away from the lake. Idly, the elf hummed a jovial tune while he continued on his merry way, content to simply waste away time. Not as if he had anything to do anyway.
Ugh, it was really too early in the morning to do anything. Waking up was a bad decision. Now he simply wanted to sleep. Time to find a nice spot then. Sleeping in uncomfortable places wasn't very new to the elf, after being a pirate and assassin, the latter of which he still was, having a bed was rather privileged. He was used to having to catch naps while on the job after all. Meaning power naps on strange roofs, or even falling asleep half-drenched in salt water. Eugh.
Eldak wandered around a while more, venturing off the dirt path to carve his own through tall grasses that brushed against dark pants. Green orbs narrowed in satisfaction and his lips curved upwards in a grin as he located a sturdy tree. Coming to a stop at the base of the tree, the assassin crouched down, before leaping off the ground in one fluid motion, hauling himself into the tree with feline grace. A little fidgeting and adjusting before he got himself into a comfy position, and the man fell asleep in a matter of minutes.
The elf woke to irritated chirping. Heavy lids lifted, revealing green irises that were still clouded with sleep. There was a sharp impact on his temple, causing the elf to wince, twisting around to face an irritated sparrow. Dimly, he recalled seeing a nest when he climbed up, Oh no, he hadn't squashed it had he? Nimbly, the man rolled off, legs now hanging in midair as strong arms supported his weight. Blond hair stood out against dark green leaves as Eldak scanned the branch, Nope, no squashed nests there. Upon closer inspection, there was a hole in the trunk. It housed a little nest, filled with three mottled grey eggs. The man allowed for an short exhale of relief, before he hoisted himself to the end of the branch so as to not obstruct the now happy sparrow.
Speaking of eggs... There were some oddly colourful egg-shaped objects that he could see from up here. Bracing himself, the elf leapt of the branch, rolling when he touched the ground. From down here, it was much harder to spot the colourful eggs though. Monster eggs, probably. Still, curiosity drove him to investigate. Eldak now moved cautiously, scanning the area before he stepped, in case he accidentally stepped on anything. Didn't want that to happen now did he.
Oof. There was a catch in his breath as his foot seemed to get stuck, causing the young elf to fall down with a thump. If that wasn't enough, there was a harsh impact and something else fell on his back. Suppressing an annoyed groan, Eldak rolled over, glaring at said object which he had probably tripped over. Ah. Pale lips parted slightly in surprise. It was an egg.

@tagged And a plain egg nonetheless. Not one of those curiously colourful supposed monster eggs he saw while perched atop the tree. A cheerful hum escaped his lips, before the elf sprang to his feet, now scanning the tall grasses as he pocketed the egg. Not as if he had anything better to do, so why not go find those colourful eggs. Yup, sounded like a good plan.
Eugh, mud. Truth be told, the elf was a little of a clean freak at times. So scouring tall grasses in disgustingly soft mud wasn't his best idea of fun. Though searching for the eggs was fun. Right, fun. Hold on, magic was fun too!
He closed his eyes, feeling a tug in his gut as he reached out to his secondary element. The spirit element was a strange one indeed. When he opened his eyes again, the world was painted in more vibrant colours. Well, some parts. The skies and trees seemed to fade out, blending with the unassuming background. Any object that had a magical presence seemed to glow with crazily vibrant colours, giving off a bright glow that stood out. Not much help when they were covered by the stupid grasses though, such glows were reduced to dim sparks.
Except... there was one particular glowy spot at the edge of the lake. As the elf drew closer, he realised, to his dismay, that the glowy area was kind of... in the water instead of by the side. Okay, gross. But...he really wanted to get that colourful egg. Hey, the elf just like pretty and colourful things, okay?
Gritting his teeth, the tall elf waded into the water, wincing as the cold water seeped into his pants. He'd dry that off later. Slowly placing one foot in front of the other until the water level rose gradually. Oh gosh, the lake was deep. Eldak was a strong swimmer, but swimming in lakes didn't exactly appeal to him. Though... the glow seemed to be rather deep down.
Uttering a few curse words, the elf inhaled deeply before plunging his head underwater. Not the best decision. Refusing to open his eyes, he waved his hand around, groping for a hold on anything for a moment before slender digits closed around a small round object.
Eldak resurfaced with a splash, making his way back to shore as quickly as possible. He pocketed the object without really looking at it, instead picking up a couple of dry branches and laying them in a small pile. This time, the elf inhaled sharply, before a minuscule ball of fire shot out of his hands, igniting the pile of dry wood. The green flames were controlled carefully; the small flame warm enough to dry him off rather quickly.
Once he was somewhat dry, Eldak removed the object from his pocket, brushing off dried mud to examine the colour of the egg. "You, mister," The elf muttered at the egg, an amused smile apparent on his face. "Caused me a hell lot of trouble." made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

@tagged Brilliant red. Red was a brilliant colour. Of course, it was his colour. Used to be. Still was. Eldak shook his head, clearing his thoughts. The Red Buccaneer was still alive, of course. Though not too many knew of him hiding here. Then again not many knew of the pirates, especially not this far in-land.
With a snap of his fingers, he extinguished the flickering green flame. Time for the next egg then! Green eyes narrowed, glowing slightly as he reached out to the spirit element again. Ah, there. A gaudy colour shining through the darkness. Wait, darkness?
It seemed he had wandered into a slightly...darker area of the lake. Honestly, darker was probably an understatement. But the dark made these colourful splashes even prettier. And pretty shining objects were something the assassin couldn't resist. Ahh, such a nice colour.
He didn't fancy tripping over himself again. "Ignus Spiritus." For the briefest of moments, his eyes seemed to glow red, before a orb of greenish fire formed above his palm, taking a short moment to form the shape of a little bird that hovered beside him, lighting the area with a dim glow.
One step at a time. He really couldn't see more than a few feet ahead of him. Still, even as he walked forward, it didn't seem to get any closer. Instead, it seemed to rise...?! Oh shoot. Eldak bit down on his lip as he took a few hurried steps backwards, for a large shape loomed out of the darkness and emitted a low growl. The mist rose around him, enveloping him. Okay bad decisions, Eldak.
Another bolt of flame shot out from his palms, the assassin exhaling loudly as a wave of exhaustion swept over him. Woah, too much energy release there. The form disappeared rapidly. Was it a monster then? Either way, he was getting out of here. Booted feet rapidly bid their retreat, Eldak returning to the much brighter area around the lake.
He didn't make it long before an object connected with the back of his head with a muffled thump. "Bloody hell!" The elf turned around, earlier fear rising into anger as he searched for the offender, hand raised to deliver a blow. Though he found no one. Instead, his eyes landed on a leaf-wrapped parcel, the supposed object that hit him. A surprised noise escaped thin lips as the elf crouched down, cautiously unwrapping the parcel. Ah, another egg. The world was a strange place, and even more so today. Flying leaf-wrapped eggs? Absolutely brilliant. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE
